Forgive me if I overstepped myself in posting the MCP 37 thread/topic. I figured if cerberus wasn't around to post it then I would.

Now onto the comments for Chapter 27.

Daniel is obviously on the war path to try and stop Victor in an attempt to atone for his part in his friends death. Even though Victor won't be there when he gets to Fiona and Brian somehow I can see Daniel preventing Fiona and Brian from getting saved.

Victor is obviously out of control obsessive over his child. Somehow I don't think he really cares at all for Abbey and just wants his child. Unfortunately I can see things turning out very badly for both Abbey and Sasha. This part is speculation, but if Victor kills Sasha then Fiona really will snap and someone unleash more of her Psi powers than ever believed possible and tear Victor apart, again all speculation on my part.

Hard to believe there are only 4 chapters left before Making The Cut is done and over.... I definitely can't wait to see how everything wraps up!

Not a problem at all!

Wow, really feeling the love for Daniel here. I mean, I know he's made mistakes, but c'mon -- he goes to try to help his friends, and the first thing you think is that he's going to make things worse for them? Nice. ;-)

well if Miriam is smart, and obviously she appears to be so I suspect Miriam is gonna come heavy with muscle/vampries. Fiona is an egotist and could go toe to toe with a vampire. Brian can control electricity which could light a vampire on fire. if Miriam goes light on her muscle/vampires Brian and Fiona could theoretically escape. but with a lot of muscle/vampires, even with Daniel's help I don't really see how things are going to work out happily in the end.

Just my thoughts and opinions....

Yeah, but I seem to remember something about Miriam trying to give them a fighting chance.  If she's gonna try to do that, I think she'd go in with the bare minimum needed.  I mean, she'd have to put on a convincing show, but I'm pretty sure she's hoping to come back empty handed.  And I don't think she'd be expecting Daniel to get involved.

Fun exercise for the next two chapters: try to identify the things Miriam says and does because she has to make a good-faith effort to follow her orders, and the things that she does in order to warn the psis, to weaken the vamps' ability to complete their mission, or to strengthen the psis' chances for survival. :)

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, everybody!

Heheheh!  Chris, you are such a teacher!!  Thanks for giving us an assignment while listening!!  Ok, I'm assuming this homework is due before the last episode, right??  What do I get if I do the work correctly??

You should bring me stuff anyway...uummm....cuz I'm your friend....and ummm...uhh...cuz you haven't seen me in forever....and....uhhh...it's just nice for boys to give girls gifts for no reason?? Ok, fine, I'll do your homework assignment and try and get it that way.

Ok, I'm guessing that, being an egoist herself, Miriam knew Fiona would know about the pheromones being wrong.  That's probably why she got up close to Fi and had that moment with her in the subway.  I think that moment between them was an unspoken message from Miriam to Fiona, which Fiona received.  What Miriam said afterward, “This is the hardest thing I have ever asked you to do, can I trust that you will see it through to the end, no matter what?”  Was meant to sound as though she was talking about the mission to catch Victor, but really had a different meaning for Fiona (something along the lines of "I have changed, you should be suspicious of my intentions, be on guard," etc).  Again, Fiona understands.  I think Miriam chose the location very carefully.  I think she looked for a site that would serve the purpose of capturing them, but also maintains the illusion that it would be a good place to capture Victor.  I think also she wanted a place that would seem to Brian and Fiona like the wrong place to capture him, but not to the Vampires.  Brian and Fiona, and as it turns out, Daniel, know that Victor wouldn't be dumb enough to walk into that building.  I think Miriam counted on that knowledge to kind of put them on guard and plant a seed of doubt.  I think her compulsion to follow the command given by Malcolm makes her sooth them and try to trick them further into the trap when questions about the locations are raised.  Of course, she was convincing.  Heh.  Nice bit of irony there, when Daniel says, "If this is gonna work, we can’t give him a chance to stop and think.” and Miriam replies, “My thoughts exactly.” Obviously, Daniel didn't know she was trying to trap them the same way...but that's probably the most honest answer Miriam could give.  I also have a slight suspicion that Miriam left the doors unlocked so that they would have an easier time getting out if they were able to get that far in an escape attempt.

There you go.  Hope I got it all right.  Now about my prize, are we talkin something sweet as in awesome, or are you bringing me something edible??

Hi Sara!

Nice job! You spotted nearly all of them. The others are:

1.) Miriam's warning to Fiona on the phone to "be prepared for anything." That was the first "something is wrong" signal for Fiona.

2.) As you'll see in Chapter 29 (which just aired), the warehouse's setup works to the psis' advantage. Vampires are faster and stronger than humans, and the gantry crane and maze of shipping crates constrain the vampires' access to the psis and make it easier to hold them off. The warehouse is also loaded with heavy metal implements, which gives Brian the chance to use his magnetokinesis to its greatest effect.

3.) Miriam didn't arm her vampire thugs with any ranged weapons that could have incapacitated the psis from a distance. They were forced to rely on melee gear, which allowed Daniel and Brian to get to the high ground and hold it without someone taking pot-shots at them.

Now, as for your present, two possibilities occur to me immediately: (1) California is the home of See's Candies, and (2) There are several new designs and gift items at the Metamor City Gift Shop (http://zazzle.com/cwlester). Any preferences? :)

Ok, you only asked for the next few chapters, and Miriam said "be prepared"  in the previous chapter, so I didn't look there.  And, the next chapter hadn't aired yet, so I couldn't examine it.  I've decided not to read ahead so that I could be surprised along with the other listeners.  Was going to leave another post after it aired, but you beat me to the punch.  Thanks for ruining my surprise, btw.  So I think it's fair to say I caught all the stuff in chapter 28.  Which means I win my prize.  I dunno, I'm torn between both items.  I've heard of See's candies, and want to try them, but I really do like the Artax mug...then again I already have a T-shirt and a mug...I don't know!!
